Wind Therapy

Wind therapy, so, what is it?

Okay, so, I am not a therapist by any means, but I am going to take you on a few of my personal therapy sessions. Wind therapy sessions.

So, now for a little fun. Where other categories will be a little heavier and possible a little clinical at times. Here we are going to enjoy ourselves. This is where you will be introduced to wind therapy. What it is and how it has real benefits for the mind, body, and spirit.

In a world where stress is increasing daily, a little therapy anyway you can get it goes along way. So, yeah like I said, I am not a therapist, but with this kind of therapy all you need is a motorcycle license and little gasoline.

What is wind therapy

Picture it for yourself. The sun is shining. It's not too hot or too cold. There is a slight vibration starting in your hands, moving up into your arms and shoulders. The roar of the engine drowns out all the noise. If you allow it to it will also quite your mind.

Sounds good...doesn’t it? What am I talking about? Wind therapy. Wind therapy achieved by riding a motorcycle.

While I know this is not for everyone, for a select few, it works wonders. And now, we have the science to support what riders have always known.

In a study by Harley Davidson and UCLA, we now have proof by wind therapy decreases the stress hormones in the body, increases your heart rate, and increases focus and awareness.

So, riding a motorcycle is healthy for ya!

My focus for this category

Crazy Cora is my take on having a routine of meditation, a form of developing patience(she’s a shovelhead), and a method of discovery and adventures.

  • I will share with you all things related to Crazy Cora. From learning to ride her, to dealing with the mechanics, to her rebuild and beautification process and procedures.  Like I said, any and all things related to my ‘74 Harley Davidson Shovelhead.

  • I will also share video and info of actual rides, or what I call my therapy sessions. Where  I go and what I experience along the way.

  • I will also take you along to any bike shows or any events that I participate in for that matter. Introduce you to our motorcycle family and show support for women riders everywhere.

How will you benefit

So, you may be asking yourself how this will benefit you and why should you even care.

Well, first of all I hope to inspire you to step out of your comfort zone. I have not always ridden motorcycles. Honestly, I didn’t start riding until it was introduced to me in my early 40’s. It was time to experience life on a different level, try something new.

Maybe it will motivate you to keep pushing forward in life. No matter what you have experienced, it will provide you with the motivation to keep going. It will strengthen your confidence. You will have stronger faith in yourself and faith in your abilities.

Your body will experience physical benefits.

As mentioned before. Wind therapy will improve your stress by lowering your stress hormones. It will also increase your heart rate, similar to exercise, and improve your ability to focus and improve your awareness.

Your mind will be refreshed.

Whether you take a short ride or saddle up for an extended road trip, your mind will be refreshed. Getting lost in the roar of the engine will allow you to gather your thoughts. Practice putting away thoughts that are self-destructive.

Your spirit will be strengthened.

Anytime you can take a moment and connect to God is time well spent. I use my wind therapy time to block out the voices of the world and listen to the prompting of the spirit. In doing so, I strengthen my resolve. Therefore, growing my faith and improving my relationship with God.

You will build connections and find acceptance within the family.

This benefit is not necessarily from the ride itself, but from the family you enter into when you ride motorcycles. You will find never-ending support, acceptance into a family that still believes in respect and honor.
