In regards to your privacy and our commitment to protecting it, this Privacy Policy is to make you aware of what personal identifiable information we may collect and how it will be used.  We use your Personal Information only to provide you with excellent service and to make improvements to the Site. This information could include some, if not all, the information you provide when visiting our site, engaging with our site in any manner, or even engaging with us through social media.

  • Personal Information: Personally identifiable information which may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, or demographic information. You voluntarily provide us with consent when you choose to sign up for our email newsletter, provide your information for a free gift, or participate in any other activities associated with our Site.
  • Log Data: This data consist of what a server automatically collects. This would be information pertaining to your IP Address, your browser, time and dates you visited our website. This would also include information of which pages you visited. If you are using a mobile device, say a cell phone or tablet, it would record the device name. It would also record the device type, phone number, country of origin, and even other interactions.
  • Social Media: We may at time access your personal information on your social media account; ie. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest. This could include you name, profile name and picture, age, email address, etc. You have control of this information by logging in and changing your personal privacy settings to the social media channel in question.
  • Mobile Devise: As mentioned above, if you use a mobile devise to access our website or social media channels, we may collect information referring to your device and location.

Your information allows us to fully serve you to the best of our ability. Whether that be providing you with quality content, engaging with you either by email or on social media. Our goal is to serve.

Comments

If you choose to leave a comment on the website we do collect the data shown in the comments form. We also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. If you choose to engage with us on Social Media in anyway, liking, sharing, commenting, etc., we may still collect your data for use as mentioned above.

In regards to our website, an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash). This anonymized string may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

We also use the default version of the plugin Contact Form 7 on our website. This form is used as a way for you to email us. The basic version of this plugin does not track users by stealth or save any personal data in a database. It also does not send any data to external servers, or use cookies.

We do have the option to activate certain features in this plugin that would collect personal data and send to service providers, such as Google or Mailchimp. If we were to do that, this privacy policy would be updated to reflect the change. We would encourage you to refer to that provider’s privacy policy.

Cookies are files with small amount of data. These cookies may include identifying information. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. In turn, they send data back to us from your computer.

Besides Google Analytics, there may be other situations where we share your information with third-parties. This may be in regards to email delivery services, hosting services, or even customer service.

We use Mailchimp for email delivery services. I encourage you to visit their website, read their Privacy Policy, and contact them directly if you have any questions.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment on this website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
