Faith

Sometimes you just have to have a little faith.

Sometimes you just have to have a little faith. No matter the situation. You have done everything you can humanly do. The only thing left to do is to be loyal, trust, and believe. The more you trust and believe, the stronger you faith will be.

It is important to understand everything there is to know about faith and how it plays a role in your life. Being able to define faith and all the ways it manifests itself in your life will help strengthen your faith.

To many faith is known as a spiritual gift, but it also plays a role in our everyday physical human lives. You will see that the definition of faith is very much the same in both instances. I will do my best to introduce you to both.

The peace of mind and spirit that can come from faith will only benefit every aspect of your life.

Having a strong faith

Having a strong faith is being loyal, believing, and trusting with your mind, heart, and soul. A strong faith is not blind. It is built on evidence. It is made up of assurance and confidence.

Having a strong faith is knowing that you know it will all be okay in the end.

With a strong faith you have the power to control your thoughts, which will then help control your feelings and actions.

My focus for this category

My personal experience with faith is rooted in Jesus Christ. A true and strong faith in Him has guided my path. I may not always understand everything but I am loyal, trust, and believe with all my heart and soul. This has led me to a place where I can be at peace with life.

Here I will focus on faith in Christ but also

  • The different aspects of faith
  • How faith plays a role in our lives
  • Stories of triumph
  • and...

The benefits you receive from faith.

I will never forget the day I finally let go and let God have control. Already saved at the time, I still had issues of being in control of certain situations. My expectations of others were killing me. What I thought others should be doing, right or wrong, was literally tearing me apart.

This had done nothing for me. Always being let down. Feeling unloved and unworthy. Nothing seemed fair. I was miserable. I had put my well being in the hands of others. Without knowing it, I had given all control to them.

It was a sunny day in October. I was now working as a care attendant for a home health company in our area. I was just trying to make everything work the best I could.

After our normal morning routine of my coffee, breathing treatments, meds, and getting on the school bus. I hurried to get myself  ready for work.

The sun seemed to be brighter this morning. There was a different feel in the air, if you know what I mean.

The drive to my patients house was only 5 or 6 miles but it was long enough for God to take over. One of the many times I have felt as if He was right there with me, riding shotgun.

You know when it is silent and your mind is going 90 to nothing, right? Well, I finally just said enough. Calmed the madness and spoke into the silence. “God, I am done. It is all yours.”

Peace beyond all understanding

At that very moment, I found peace. For the first time, a true peace beyond all understanding.

This is what I want you to experience. This is what I want you to have. Peace.

It is sometimes hard to explain to those who have not experienced it. Sometimes the words are just not sufficient. But, this is the benefit you will receive from faith. The stronger the faith the more peace you have.

In the world we live in today it is so easy to get wrapped up in all the bad. My goal is for you to transform your mind so that you not only have faith in the small things, but those big life changing events and situations, too.

Faith to move mountains

Faith will also bring great power and while I have been talking about a strong faith, strong does not have to be big. Remember the parable of the mustard seed? With a faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains.

With this kind of faith comes power, but you must seek this faith. Seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened to you. The only things that will hinder the power of this faith is your lack of faith.

Finding your confidence.

We all fall short. We are weak. We make bad decisions. We second guess ourselves all the time. We all have good days and bad days. Faith allows us to know that all is well. God has a plan. He has begun a good work in you and He never gives up. You can be confident in the fact that even though we will all make mistakes and feel lost, you are not defined by those mistakes or alone.

You will find joy, not just happiness.

I spent several years searching for happiness. I finally realized that happiness was just an emotion that was going to come and go. Just like sadness or anger, but joy, that would last through the emotional roller coaster ride. I truly believe you find joy when your faith is strong enough that you experience all the peace, confidence, and power of real faith. Honestly, I wish there was a way I could bottle this up and share it with you, but I know that with faith you have to seek it and experience it for yourself. It has to be personal.

I am sure there will be much more to share in this category, but this gives you an idea of the focus. I hope that the stories I share will touch you in a way that inspire you to seek a deeper faith. Trust a little more and tap into the power that comes from having faith.

A power that can manifest change in your life if that is what you seek to experience.

What do you think? Feel free to leave me a comment. I would love to hear your thoughts about faith. How does it play a role in your life?
