What does it mean to build a better you?
What does it mean to build a better you? In a world where so many are broken, you are not alone nor are you broken beyond repair. You have the power to always improve. Building a better you is just that…always improving, always striving for more. Finding your strength and purpose.
I personally believe in taking every situation you experience in life, whether good or bad, and making the choice to learn from it. You take what you have been given and you move forward. Moving forward to improve your mind, body, and spirit.
Your experiences help shape who you are and it is up to you on whether or not they mold you into something beautiful. Think of yourself as a fine piece of pottery. You have the ability to be a piece of art that has strength and purpose. Not just a dried-out, cracking pile of clay who is unwilling to be shaped and molded. Unwilling to take the heat and pressure to build strength.
Choosing not to wallow in self-pity or spend a lifetime feeling sorry for yourself are important steps you can take when building a better you. Learn to take responsibility and do all you can to manage your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Sometimes all it takes to build a better you is to seek a little help, do a little research, and learn to hold yourself accountable. More than anything, sometimes you just need to be still and have a little faith. You’ve got this.
You will see that everything you have experienced has a purpose. That being said, your purpose may completely change the direction of your life. You may also be able to take what you have learned from your experiences and help someone else.
The benefits you will receive
Most people will not seek to better themselves if it takes too much work on their part. This is honestly a shame. They do not realize their own personal power of being able to shape the direction of their life. Always laying blame on others and focusing outward instead of inward.
Those who never focus on truly bettering themselves miss out on the opportunity to receive the blessings that come with the personal growth.
Just think, if you can focus on bettering yourself, not for the sake of others, but better yourself in a way that will benefit, not only yourself, but others. You will see yourself…
- Having more confidence
- Being able to thrive under the pressures of life
- Being stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually
- Having control of your thoughts
- Balancing your emotions and feeling
- Determining the actions you take
- Living your purpose
This is what it means to build a better you. A more confident and stronger you. Living our your purpose.
My focus for this category
This category will include articles related to my experiences with the Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Cystic Fibrosis, being a Veteran’s Wife, and Personal Development.
I am going to talk specifics about the methods and procedures I have used to get to where I am today. The science and instruction on applying each of these to specific areas and situations in your life. Whether that be with terminal or chronic illnesses, injuries, personal development, relationships, or just the everyday stressors of life these days.
Here I also want to share with you the ways I have learned to manage my thoughts, feelings, and actions and how they can work for you too. But, instead of just science and research, in some of the articles I will share real life examples of what I, myself, and others have learned. The stories behind the triumphs made by applying these methods and procedures.
Focusing on building you, a better you, is not selfish. When you work on ‘you’, every situation, every relationship will find meaning.
It is my hope to share stories and real-life examples of women overcoming obstacles in their lives. My own stories of being pushed into a corner and having no hope, but choosing to fight back.
The benefit I seek from all of this is knowing all my trials and tribulations have had a purpose and that purpose is to help you discover your strength and purpose. Understand that you are not alone and that you can also experience a true peace and have real joy. You are able to face the heat and pressures of life and not crack.
